Why have we enabled our governmment to regulate the amount of light a light bulb can produce, the shape and size of light bulbs and fixtures, and lifespans of lightbulbs? If we honestly believe our government is apt and capable of properly governing its people, why is it necessary to regulate the type of light that a light bulb produces? Is there nothing better they could be doing? The Cap and Trade Bill dedicates more than 15 pages to regulation of light bulbs. Something needs to change.
